【Activity Objectives】
1. Cultural Identity: Through diverse experiential activities, deepen children's understanding of traditional Chinese culture, customs, and characteristics, and cultivate a sense of belonging to the nation.
2. Moral Education: Through traditional Chinese stories, establish positive values in children, such as obeying rules, courtesy, and filial piety, and cultivate respect and care for others.
【Activity Content】 Our school systematically integrates elements of Chinese culture into the curriculum and various activities. Through activities such as making lanterns, writing Spring Festival couplets, participating in Lunar New Year gatherings, and simulating dragon boat races, children gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of festivals and traditional arts.
In addition, our school holds a " Chinese Culture Journey " parent-child experiential activity, covering three major cultural areas:
• Folk Arts: Making flour figurines
• Competitive Sports: Experiencing ancient sports such as "Chuiwan" ,"Pitch-pot" ,"Wooden Archery" and "Archery"
• Traditional Food: Observing and tasting sugar-coated scallion pancakes
Through the joint participation of children and parents, they personally experience the essence of traditional Chinese folk arts and subtly practice traditional virtues.
